Christmas

We had such a Great Christmas!
To start things off, Morgan reminded us that we needed to make Santa cookies.

We made Grandma Lila's orange cookies with fresh squeezed orange juice.
Santa ate everything we gave him!!

For dinner we got out the fancy silverware and sparkling apple cider--We celebrated with "style".

Santa Hit a homerun with Caleb's toy. Bryce loves it as well.

He and Corry both got skateboards. We spent yesterday and today perfecting the "ollie"--well almost perfecting it.

Corry liked his present tons. He's already added a bunch of you to his contacts, so beware.

Morgan got, among other things (barbies, chixos, and bendaroos)--New Jammies. Here she is atop Chelsea's tractor. Santa got it and the Thomas train for free--What a thrifty chap.

Hope you all had equally good days.

It's Snowing in Long Beach

Here are a few of this year's snowflakes.......We have them all hanging from the ceiling.

It's raining, it's pouring!

It is raining! A good hard rain, the kind that makes the street turn into a river and you can hear it on the roof. I listened to it all night. It made me want to snuggle up in my covers.

The kids were excited to get out with cumbrellas and splash around. My kids are true californians. It is cold and wet and Morgan is out in flip flops and capris. Actually it is a great idea. I hate wet socks and wet shoes and when the hem of your pants get wet. Flip flops and capris. Great idea. Maybe that is what I will wear to work tonight!

Also a good day for hot chocolate! Stephens chocolate and raspberry. Just the right thing.

Stitches for Bryce

Well, it has finally happened! We had our first childhood injury. During football practice (I thought flag football was safe) yesterday Bryce and another kid hit heads and Bryce came away with a gash over his left eye. After a trip to the ER, 6 stitches and a hamburger he is on the mend. I was really glad Dave was around to take him to the ER. I am not the best around blood (Eewww). He is doing pretty well.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.
